“The Denim Route, from cotton to your pants”
Initiative of Jeantex and Confmar, companies of the Telares Maracay Group, to publicize the process of manufacturing fabrics and making Jean pants, completely Venezuelan.
At Jeantex S.A and Confmar C.A., companies belonging to the Telares Maracay Group, we offer designers, clients and the "curious" an interesting guided tours of our factories, called “The Denim Route, from cotton to your pants”", to show manufacturing and preparation processes of the best jeans in Venezuela.
This activity begins in Jeantex, one of the most advanced factories in the textile industry in Latin America, located in the state of Aragua, Venezuela.
In this interesting experience, visitors tour the areas of the textile factory where the denim fabric production process is carried out: opening, spinning, warping, dyeing, re-weaving, gumming, loom yard and finishing plant. From receiving the cotton, passing through strict quality controls, to the roll packaged and ready for distribution.
The surprise of our visitors is enormous when they get to know the size of Jeantex its facilities and the various state-of-the-art equipment that we use to produce quality certified fabric, by two institutions of international prestige such as: U.S. Cotton and Cradle to Cradle.
The route continues in Confmar 2015 C.A., our clothing company located in Maracay, Aragua State, Venezuela; where visitors experience a different world, in which indigo and clothing are the protagonists.
This tour begins in the laying area, where a roll of fabric, like the ones our visitors saw packaged at Jeantex, is placed on the automatic machine and layer by layer the denim is laid out on the table to begin the manufacturing process with the setting patterns and cutting.
There, the fabrics are cut by personnel specially trained for this task, following patterns according to the type of piece to be made, then the fragments of the puzzle are joined together to form the garments.
At each station an operator, with a high degree of training, is in charge of carrying out one or two operations depending on the manufacturing phase of the piece in which he or she is located.
Upon arriving at the laundry room, guests encounter the laser, where they witness a demonstration of the potential of this technology and what it offers in terms of finishes and eco-sustainability.
From the laser, the route continues through industrial washing machines, which wash, dye and dry to the sound of music, demonstrating the versatility and quality of the fabric.
The tour ends in the area where the pieces are labeled, ironed and packaged.
It should be noted that in each area there are quality audits to guarantee that the garments meet the company's and customers' standards.
