The company’s recent participation in Milan Fashion Week, through the sponsorship of the Venezuelan brand Alijuna, stands as a clear testament to its commitment to innovation and sustainability.
Alijuna’s Runway Show in Milan
From September 20 to 22, the fashion world turned its attention to Milan, where Venezuelan designer Aurines Romero Lanni, creator of the Alijuna brand, dazzled the audience on the Flying Solo Agency runway. Her unique and innovative designs, inspired by rich Wayuu craftsmanship, were crafted utilizing premium denim produced by Jeantex.
In addition to its participation in Milan Fashion Week, Alijuna has made its mark at major international fashion events, including a showcase at the Jeantex booth during Colombiatex in Medellín, and an appearance at Texhibition in Istanbul. Its unique, custom designs have successfully penetrated markets across Canada, the United States, Egypt, Spain, Colombia, Puerto Rico, Peru, Uruguay, Ecuador, and Argentina.
The Collaboration Between Jeantex and Alijuna
The partnership between Jeantex and Alijuna began in 2023, when Aurines participated in the “Denim Route” (Ruta del Denim) tour. There, she experienced firsthand the industrial potential of Jeantex fabrics and the garment construction capabilities of Confmar 2015 C.A.—both subsidiaries of Grupo Telares Maracay. This alliance has delivered added value in quality and sustainability to Alijuna, while driving innovation and creativity for Jeantex.
Currently, Aurines customizes denim apparel exclusively garmented with Jeantex fabrics. This partnership serves as a prime example of how fashion can simultaneously be sustainable and highly creative. By utilizing Cotton USA and Cradle to Cradle Certified® denim, both brands demonstrate their shared commitment to environmental protection and responsible production.
